Gallery 49, a project of the Hillsdale County arts council, ArtWorks, was created for local artists to have a venue for their artwork. It is an artist owned co-op with a fine arts gallery, gift shop and learning center.
Featured Artists We feature each artist by celebrating their art at an artist reception held in their honor nearly every month.
Student Displays
A student wall allows area students to share their artwork with visitors to the gallery.
Bizarre Bazaar
The City of Reading
comes alive at Halloween with a parade, a fabulous pumpkin glow
and carving contest and we share in the festivities with the Bizarre Bazaar. The public is invited to share their bizarre artwork in a fun competition sponsored by Gallery 49. Click on the paintbrush above for rules and entry information.

Old Fashioned Christmas
